Oops.. I forgotted to blog!

Today (May 6th), Renee ate:

-approx. 10-15 pieces of pineapple and strawberry
-1 'raw' flax seed pancake with maple syrup (approx 4 in)
-1 piece of 'raw' tiramisu
-baked tostido chips and salsa (maybe 1/2 cup of salsa and 20 chips)
-a big handful of cashews
-5 pieces of chocolate
-a small glass of oj
-a small glass of apple juice
-a plate with salad, ranch dressing, spaghetti, tomato sauce, green beans, and a slice of garlic bread (it all fit on one dinner plate.. so.. about that much?)
-a pint of caramel vanilla soy ice cream (oops!)


Tomorrow I start a super healthy workout routine! (hence my urge for the pint of ice cream...)

It's a pretty easy day to update.. seeing as how I haven't eaten anything today...

Tuesday, April 21st- Renee ate:
-approx. 5-10 saltines
-1/2 bottle of ginger ale
-1/2 spangles mudslide (soft serve with chocolate and peanut butter cups)
-something from Poblano for dinner (it's like chipotle.. bryan went to get it, and he's not back yet)

Monday, April 20th:
-1/2 cheese sandwich
-1/2 peanut butter & honey sandwich
-maybe 10-15 baked tostidos with homemade guacamole
-1 mini cadbury egg
-1/2 grapefruit
(all of which ended up in a plastic bag later in the day)
-1/2 bottle of ginger ale
-maybe 6 saltines

Easter food coma..

Ugh.. Renee doesn't even want to post today because she ate so much.

Sunday:
-special k with soy milk
-cup of coffeeee
-maybe 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes
-a spoonful of scrambled eggs
-a spoonful of fried potatoes
-1 piece of pumpkin pancake stuff with other stuff on top of it
-a spoonful of mac&cheese
-1 spoonful of green bean casserole
-a tiny sliver of homemade bread
-a few cubes of cheese
-about 1 tbsp of hummus with chips
-1 mini cinnamon roll
-2 mini philo dough cups with caramel mousse
-1 mini peanut butter and chocolate dessert thingy
-1 mini lemon cheesecake
-most of a piece of chocolate cake
-a small piece of pineapple upside down cake
-a small sliver of pumpkin pie

Ughhhhh

(Saturday wasn't much better)
Saturday:

-small fruit smoothie
-lots of wheat thins with mozzarella cheese
-maybe 5 marshmallows?
-a SMORE!
-toooo many potato chips
-a roll from work
-1/2 grapefruit

-lots of chocolate. (1/2 of a solid milk chocolate easter bunny, 5 reeses miniatures, 4 mini cadbury cream eggs, and probably a lot more that I can't remember now)

Friday:

(don't remember what I ate most of the day...) but at the wedding, I ate:
-cubes of cheese
-2 pieces of wedding cake (i was joking with casey saying i wanted to eat his piece too.. and he gave it to me. i didn't mean it!)
-some fresh fruit and broccoli
-this weird pasta salad stuff
-a cup of fruit punch
-a can of starbucks vanilla latte stuff
-5-ish beers

-hickory bbq ribs (veggie) with roasted red&yellow peppers and green beans
-a cup o tea
-maybe 20 wheat thins with a tbsp of hummus
-a side of sweet potato polenta, butternut squash risotto, asparagus, and mushroom ragoooo. (how do you spell ragooo?) it had bacon in it too. i ate around it.
-3 pieces of mango licorice

-a taco bell double decker taco (i wanted a cheesy gordita crunch, but she gave me a double decker instead. booo)
-4 chunks of toblerone chocolate
-3 margaritas (1.50 each!)

-lots and lots of chips
-a cup of coffee with a shot of peppermint schopps
-a small glass of a drink called a kamakasi

Sunday:
-a bowl of vanilla almond special k with soy milk
-lots of handfuls of vanilla almond special k without soy milk
-a small glass of grapefruit juice
-1/2 of a bag of mango flavored licorice (ugh.. too much)
-a microwave broccoli rice & cheese dinner

Renee saw the show "Mantracker" for the first time today! She wants to apply to be on it with Bryan!!

that puts me at 1400, and I think I'm done eeeaatin.

...not really working...

Tuesday, Renee ate:

-a little less than half of my ben & jerry's (400 calories)
-double espresso (140)
-small soft serve cone from braums (? 250 calories ?)
-approx. 3/4 of a burrito from chipotle (600 calories?)

so that was about 1690 calories.. if I guessed correctly.

Wednesday, Renee ate:

-bowl of special k with soy milk (300 calories)
-maybe 30 wheat thins with cheese and hummus (260 calories for wheat thins, 300 for cheese and hummus?)
-bowl of cous cous with veggies (300 calories)
-cup of chai tea (20)
-espresso with creamer and marshmallows (100)
-animal crackers (100)
-bite of bryan's pbj (30)

Total: 1410
Though I feel pretty full.. so I feel like I musta eaten more.. but I can't think of anything else..

-maybe 1/2 cup of brown rice with veggies
-(obviously other stuff.. i can't remember)

On Monday, Renee has eaten:
-a big bowl of special k with soy milk
-1/2 pbj sandwich
-1/2 hummus and soy cheese sandwich
-some animal crackers
-a cup of french vanilla hot chocolate
-1/2 pint of ben and jerry's strawberry cheesecake ice cream
-small plate of spinach noodles with veggie and soy sauce
-1/2 cup of carrot salad
-1/2 mango
-2 boston butter martinis
-1 donut (or a bunch of bites of diff. donuts, probably = 1 donut)

Renee had a job interview and it went well!

most of 1 cup'o'noodles (hardly any of the broth though)
a slice of zucchini strudel

3 haribo gummies
a sliver of cinnamon cake

We used the rest of the gift card that jessika gave us to starbucks.

Poor Food Blog...

...nobody loves you anymore.

Renee can't really remember much of what she ate last week.. but from what she remembers, on Thursday, she ate:
-lunch at genghis grill (a big bowl of veggies, tofu, noodles, and sauce)
-a bite of tj's chocolate cake dessert
-some wheat thins with fig blended goat cheese
-a few handfuls of doritos
-a cookie (literally, a cookie) spread with brie
-a tall white chocolate mocha from starbucks
-3 beers (i think?) and a double vodka with cranberry juice

On Friday, Renee and Bryan drove to texas. She ate:
-some wheat thins with fig blended goat cheese smeared on 'em
-a bag of mini bbq rice cakes
-a starbucks caramel frap
-a few chunks of pineapple
-a mozz/tomato/pesto sandwich and side of pasta salad from a restaurant called Le Madeline's
-bread pudding dessert topped with ice cream (a little over half.. i shared it)
-a drink similar to a long island iced tea
-a glass of coke with maybe a double shot of vodka

On Saturday, Renee and Bryan went to six flags. She ate:
-a starbucks mocha frap
-1/2 bag of mini cheddar rice cakes
-2 wedges of a clementine
-1/3 of a big soft pretzel with mustard
-1 pink thing! (a sort of ice cream thing sold only at six flags)
-1/2 bottle of coke
-1 individual serving of strawberry jello
-1/2 blueberry bagel
-a glass of 100% orange/pineapple/banana juice

On Sunday, Renee and Bryan went to the art museum:
-2 individual servings of jello (one orange and one strawberry)
-1/2 blueberry bagel
-2 mimosa's (1$ each!)
-a burrito filled with egg, potato, and cheese and some veggies with a few bites of refried beans on the side
-quite a few chips with salsa
-a mini cinnamon cookie
-a reg. coffee with sugar and milk
-cheese fries from freddie's frozen custard!
-a glass of lemonade

On Sunday, Renee ate:

-1 mini lava cake with grilled bananas and pineapple

Jessika had:

-2/3 of a buttermilk pancake with some butter and some maple syrup
-half a cup of coffee
-a few fingerling potatoes with ketchup

-1/2 of a naked juice
-1 small bowl of fruity pebbles
-1 bowl of grape nuts

hmm.. that looks like a lot more than I thought I ate.

-a lemon walnut scone that was really more like a biscuit

-5 andes mints
-some girl scout cookies and chocolate
-1 bowl of vegetable stew
-1 java chip frappucino (for free!!)
-4 beers

(i know i must have eaten more, but i really can't remember..)

Post-Birthday Weight Gain

Oops.. Renee gained 2 pounds from her birthday shenanigans! She weighed 125 this morning.

Today she has eaten (too much):

-1/3 of a bottle of gatorade
-a few bites of the homemade vanilla date & nut bars that we made in my new food processor!
-2 lindt truffle balls (courtesy of jessika)
-2 squares of the ritter sport dark choc. & hazelnut bar (courtesy of mama)
-approx. 2 pieces of homemade pizza (i made 4 mini pizzas- a mushroom, olive, tofu, hoisin sauce, and soy sauce pizza; a hummus, red pepper, olive, mushroom and onion pizza; a black bean, tomato, olive and avocado pizza; and a regular tomato sauce with assorted vegetable pizza) I basically had 2 bites of each.. which was probably about 2 pieces?
-3 olives
-1 square of tofu
-1 piece of naan bread dipped in the leftover indian sauce
-1 bowl of natural vanilla bean ice cream
-2 girl scout cookies

I think I need to take a break from eating for a few hours..haha.. It's only 1:00pm!

Post 1:00pm, Renee ate:
-2 more lindt truffle balls
-the rest of a ritter sport bar (maybe 4 more squares?)
-a small serving of hashbrowns, 1 egg over easy, and 2 pieces of buttered toast

NOW she is done eating... and tomorrow shall be a much healthier day.

this morning, she feels like crap and can't walk straight. and must be at work in an hour and a half. wheeee happy birthday to meee

On Birthday day, Renee ate:

1 waffle, egg, and cheese sandwich
1 cup of gatorade
1/2 bar of ritter sport chocolate
1 frozen waffle
1 and 1/2 pieces of naan bread
1 cup of brown rice
indian sauces to go with rice and bread
1 slice of red velvet cake
blue bell ice cream!

Busy Saturday/Rabbit Rabbit Sunday

Renee had a busy saturday. She woke up and went to 'group power' at 9, went to the Academy Awards Shorts Presentations at 10, then afterwards stopped by Taco Bell and went straight to work at 4, and got home from work at 11:45pm.

This morning, she is tired.

Renee ate:
-1 bowl of special k with soy milk
-1 shot of espresso with creamer
-1 PB&J sandwich
-3 handfuls of almonds/raisins/walnuts
-1/2 apple
-1 'taro root' bun, leftover from yesterday
-1 bite of bryan's zone bar
-1 tostada from taco bell
-1 gordita crunch from taco bell with beans instead of beef

For Saturday, Jessika had:

-leftover couscous with Parmesan, basil pesto, tomatoes and grilled chix
-a slice of banana bread
-a piece of porterhouse steak with avocado
-some broccoli
-pretzels n hummus

SUNDAY! (aka today), Renee ate:

-1 bowl of special k with honey and soy milk
-1 grapefruit
-4 girlscout cookies
-1 cup of tea with creamer

Food Poisoning Friday

So Renee has (she thinks) come down with food poisoning from a piece of moldy bread she accidentally ate the other day. She got out of work this evening only to go to final friday- the downtown art event that happens on the last friday of every month!

Today, she ate:
-waffle with honey
-fruit smoothie
-small quizno's veggie sub
-1 banana
-1/2 grilled cheese sandwich
-3ish spoonfuls of mushroom soup
-1 small piece of veggie pizza
-1 shot of espresso with creamer

(then we went out for "final friday" in old town- free food and drinks!)
-2 glasses of wine
-1 miller lite
-2 marshmallow/peanut butter bite-sized gooey things
-1 mini peanut butter cup
-1 mini chocolate chip cookie
-2 chocolate covered mini pretzels
-3 mini cream cheese and olive pinwheels
-1 tbsp of hummus with 1 cucumber and 1 pita chip
-2 small wedges of focaccia bread
-2 small cupcakes
-1 small donut

yeeahh.. I kinda ate too much at final friday


Today, Jessika ate:
-disgusting pork
-a few pieces of dried mango

Thursday at Bry and Nay's Sushi House!

So I tried to eat 1500 calories today, but I failed.

-16 ounces of oj (220 calories)
-1 bowl of special k with soy milk and honey (230 calories)
-10 carrots with hummus (100 calories?)
-piece of wheat bread with butter (150 calories)
-coffee with creamer (25 calories)
-clementine (35 calories)
-haribo gummies (180 calories)
-miso soup (45 calories)

[calories so far: 985]

This is where the calorie count gets fuzzy. I had allowed myself just over 500 calories for the rest, but I think I failed.

-1.5 chinese bean curd 'rolls'
-1 taro 'roll' (yikes.. i have no clue how many calories. alot? oops..)
-maybe 2 rolls of sushi filled with an assortment of avocado, carrots, cucumber, and low fat cream cheese (calorie estimation: 250 per roll, so around 500? maybe?)

Fat Tuesday!

In honor of Fat Tuesday, Renee ate 3/4 of a box of wheat thins! Unintentionally, though.. honestly.. I was just nibbling and nibbling and all of a sudden there were no more! Oops....

Food diary for today:

- 1 bowl of special k with honey and soy milk
- 1 glass of oj
- 2 clementines
- 1 handful of macadamia nuts
- 1 handful of almonds
- 3/4 of a box of reduced fat wheat thins :(
- 1 bowl of gazpacho soup with 1 piece of wheat toast
- 1 black bean, avocado, green pepper, and light mayo wheat bread sandwich
- 1 cup of chai tea
- 5 french fries (they were sitting on the counter.. I couldn't help it!)

healthy?? obviously the wheat thins and french fries weren't.. but everything else wasn't bad, right? hmph...

Yes yes Renee, oops is the key to forgetting to eat healthy. Just kidding. Yeah, wheat thins are so addicting. Jessika had authentic Vietnamese food tonight. Perhaps she will take Renee to Bun when she comes to visit.

Monday Madness!

Today, Renee ate:

a cup of chai tea
a bowl of shredded carrots with balsalmic vinegar and some other stuff that bryan put in it
a bowl of special k with honey and soy milk
a banana nut bread cliff bar
a few handfuls of reduced fat wheat thins
a small bowl of spaghetti with marinara sauce
a few chunks of pineapple
2 bites of bryan's polenta with marinara sauce

So today was my 1st day of super healthy week.. did I do ok?

Super healthy week huh? Sounds pretty healthy to me.... except those andes mints hehe. Jessika went to Town for Rainbow's birthday dinner (it's still restaurant week). It really wasn't that great. Today she had:

-udon with 2 pieces of soy sauce chicken
-3/4 of a peanut butter sandwich
-a cranberry pecan roll with butter
-a regular roll with butter
-a tiny slice of cured salmon with some greens
-hawaiian heart of palm soup with (bitter) shrimp tempura rocks
-monkfish with onions in a paprika sauce
-a few bites of coffee, vanilla and caramel ice cream
-a red fruit jelly with caramel sauce

Academy Award Sunday!

Today, Renee ate:

1/2 whole wheat bagel with low fat garden vegetable cream cheese

1/2 cup of raspberry lemonade

1 chocolate valentines heart
1 cup of chai tea
1 cup of orange juice
2 bites of steamed vegetables
1 big bowl of congee
1 waffle sandwich (2 toasted strawberry waffles stuffed with 1 scrambled egg and a slice of cheese, topped in maple syrup.. it was SO delicious!)
1 big handful of almonds

(we went to see Coraline in 3D! and I ate...)
-10 more haribo gummies :) oops..

Boothie says I have to eat healthy for the next week because supposedly I will have to eat lots of unhealthy foods for my birthday (so he says), so starting tomorrow.. it's healthy time! We'll see how I do... lol

Women's Fair Saturday!

Today, Renee dragged Bryan to the Women's Fair after 'group power'!

She ate:
-1 mango, banana, and pineapple fruit smoothie
-1 wheat bagel with peanut butter and jelly
-half a cup of chopped fresh pineapple
-a chunk of the nut & date bar (approx 2x2 inch square)
-1/2 chocolate chip cookie
-5 pretzel sticks dipped in different dips
-6 girlscout cookies (3 peanut butter patties and 3 caramel delights)
-a large bowl of congee topped with a little bit of spicy vegetarian chili
-1 cup of coffee with cream
-1 cup of tea with cream

i think that's it?

at work, we're adding some new dishes to the menu on Monday, so I "had" to try
-1 2-bite-sized piece of the new lasagna roll appetizer
-1 piece of the fried something dessert.. kinda like a fried dough wedge that you dip in chocolate
-1 small piece of birthday cake (for february birthdays- not for the menu)

oh, and add a large glass of orange juice with malibu and a miller high life to last night :)

Mad at the Wii Thursday >:o !

Jessika thinks Renee and her haribo gummies are funny.... and it's almost peep season again! If it makes Renee feel any better, Jessika's weight has been stagnant for awhile too.... Today Jessika had:

-1.5 waffles with a wee bit of raspberry jam
-half a cup of tea with milk
-half a cup of coffee with milk
-white rice with soy sauce chicken and roast pork (too salty and not very good)
-a few sips of egg drop soup
-a bite of turnip cake with hoisin sauce
-a few bites of banana bread
-half of a porter house steak with balsamic vinegrette
-serving of mash potatoes
-a few bites each of: chinese broccoli, bok coy and broccoli
-an orange

Renee got on the Wii fit today, and it said that she weighed more than ever before! Meaning now that instead of having to lose 10 lbs to reach her goal, she must lose 11! (at least I've only gained a pound.. its still frustrating though!) She must be doing something wrong, because despite taking 2 workout classes a week, running between 1-3 miles 6 days a week, and working a very walking-oriented job, she ISN'T LOSING WEIGHT!

...maybe she should stop eating haribo gummies...

speaking of which, today Renee ate:

1/2 portion of hashbrowns

(1 hour of group power, and ran 1 mile!, then breakfast at "The Good Egg")

-A sip of tea with milk, then she realized there was a chunk of something in it. She thought it was bread but in fact it was bad milk with chunks, she then gagged and didn't drink anymore. (this was while driving to the train station)
-Mozzarella, tomato and basil on toasted foccacia
-a free piece of some dessert bar- kind of like a blondie with chocolate and coconut.
-2 cups of coffee with equal and whole milk (milk that hadn't gone bad)
-a banana
-a chocolate chip cookie
-a piece and a half (like 7 oz) of roast pork
-a scoop of mash potatoes
-some shanghainese veggies
-approx 2 glasses of merlot

oops? i ate too much and was too tired to work out.

Rainy Tuesday

Seems like Renee had a lot of liquid today.... Jessika had:

Dinner at Atria (I really really really liked this place, it's only a month old and across the street from the MOMA)
-Baguette sticks with yogurt, lemon juice and herb spread
-Bumble cocktail (gin, blackberry juice, lime juice and mint, ah the world of great mixologists)
-Cured Sea Trout- with lotus root chips, sesame seeds and curry sauce. (tasted kinda of like smoked salmon)
-Braised Flatiron steak- slow cooked to perfection- with brussel sprouts, riebele (a creamy pasta) and cab sauv jus
-warm caramel apples with cider-walnut cake & granny smith sorbet. mmm

twas delish, glad I didn't really eat lunch and saved up for din din! (I think I ate too much)

Today, Renee ate:

1 large homemade smoothie
1/2 clementine
1 bowl of cinnamon and pecan special k cereal with soy milk
2 cups of chai tea
1 peanut butter and honey sandwich on wheat bread
1 starbucks caffe vanilla frappucino
4 andes mints
8 ounces of raspberry lemonade
2 pieces of leftover cheese pizza
1 piece of bread with butter and danish chocolate
1 cup of milk chocolate and gingerbread popcorn
1/4 of a "gorilla sandwich"

I feel like I ate too much. Did I? I went to "group power" this morning for 1 hour, ran 1 mile, and worked for 5 and 1/2 hours.

-a 'chicken butt' bun (with coconut and sugar, no chicken!)

-a mini bagel with guacamole and a hamburger

-2 onion rings with ketchup
-a few shoestring fries
-a few tostitoes


Jessika didn't eat much yesterday, Renee thinks. Renee ate:

*1 bowl of special k with soy milk (renee still likes cereal even though its cold)
*1 piece of bread with butter and honey
*1 grapefruit
*1 fruit smoothie
*1 veggie corn dog
*1 large cup of coffee with half&half and 2 andes mints melted into it
*3 pieces of homemade margherita pizza
*1/2 of a gorilla sandwich! (basically a hollowed out cucumber filled with tons of stuff like apples, bananas, craisins, nuts, celery, green peppers, herbs, and tons of other stuff that I can't remember.. bryan made it!)
*5 beers at .75 cent beer night!

extremely warm sunday!

Jessika spent the entire early afternoon baking! woohoo. Today she's had:

-an orange
-2 star shaped sugar cookies (from amy's sugar cookie mix from last christmas)
-2 chocolate chip cookies
-a piece of brownie with pecans
-some udon in chicken broth with broccoli and garlic
-a tiny slice of strawberry cake with whipped cream as frosting

family hot pot tonight! (which means it's extremely hard to keep track of what's eaten, so here's a guesstimate):
-fish balls
-beef balls
-a few thin slices of pork
-some baby bok choy
-some water crest
-some chinese cabbage
-lots of taro
-some tripe aka cow stomach
-a few peanuts
-a few bites of sweet tofu
-a few bites of purple (!) yam
-a few bites of salmon

yeah, def ate too much today. what do you think of the special k diet?

I think special k diet is not that great, cause it says eat 2 bowls of special k and then dinner, and if you're still hungry after 2 bowls of special k, you'll gorge at dinner, which is when you should eat your lightest meal. But that's just my opinion.

Today, Renee ate:

-1 fresh berry and banana smoothie (150 calories)
-2 bananas (200 calories)
- 1 bowl of special k and honey nut cheerios with soy milk (200 calories)
-1 cup of chai tea with creamer (20 calories)
-1.5 squares of ghiradelli chocolate with hazelnuts (80 calories)
-1/2 chipotle burrito (with black beans, rice, guacamole, and salsa) (450 calories?!?!? according to google :-/)
-1 coffee with milk (100 calories)
-2 andes mints (50 calories)
-2 bites of bryan's pizza (50 calories?)

Total: 1550. I don't think I like counting calories. I focus too much on the calories and less on what I'm eating. Maybe I'll stop, and just eat "healthy".

Made 85$ at work tonight! Whee!

Jessika had a even worse day today and was on the verge of tears by 2pm. But yeah, 2 glasses of sangria and a glass of sauvingnon blanc with dinner helped.

Today she had:
-udon in wintermelon soup with pork
-piece of lasagna
-a few pieces of fried calamari
-mini pitcher of peach sangria
-1/3 roast chicken
-a bite of penne alla vodka
-yellow rice with beans

Renee has eaten:
-a bowl of special k with soy milk (250 calories)
-blue sky natural orange cream soda (160 calories)
-dried and sweetened mango (150 calories)
-huevos rancheros burrito! 1/2 cup of black beans, 2 eggs, and salsa (380 calories)
-1 small nectarine (50 calories)
-chai tea with creamer (20 calories)
-1/2 tortilla plus a few baked tostidos (130 calories)
-1/2 french toast flavored bagel with peanut butter, honey, and 1/3 of a banana (280 calories)
-1 mini marshmallow (2.5 calories. Bryan made me count it)
-half a cup of cilantro lime brown rice with black beans, and a bite of bryan's (2nd) huevos rancheros burrito (150 calories)

total calories for the day so far, 1572.5

Ate too much yesterday!

Jessika had a really stressful 10 hour workday and 3 hour commute, but then she came home and ran 2 miles and feels better.

Today, she's had:
-bowl of rice with pork sausage
-glass of fresh squeezed orange juice
-piece of toast with butter
-bowl of green squash soup
-half a bowl of rice
-2 bites of fish
-2 pieces of chinese broccoli (and she only ate 2 pieces because it kinda tasted like fish)


So yesterday, Renee's "healthy tuesday" kinda backfired. Oops! She's decided to keep track of calories for a while now! And drink 3 liters of water a day. And not eat after 7pm when she can help it! (for example, tonight she's going to Sal's Japanese Steakhouse for Jerry's birthday- at 8pm- so she will be forced to eat after 7pm, obviously.)

So far, she has eaten:
-leftover calzone from Old Chicago, estimated 350 calories
-1 cup of chai tea with a splash of creamer, 20 calories
-1 cup of espresso with creamer, 20 calories
-1 banana, 100 calories
-1 grapefruit, 100 calories
-tostidos with salsa and bean dip, 200 calories
-2 bites of bryan's yogurt with honey, 20 calories
-brown cow maple yogurt (all but 2 bites for bryan), 150 calories
-1 piece of dried mango with sugar, 30 calories
-1 bite of bryan's larabar (ginger flavored.. sooo tasty!), 20 calories

I allotted about 800 calories for my dinner at the hibachi grill, where I ate
-5 pieces of raddish, carrott, and cucumber sushi dipped in soy sauce
-maybe 10 bites of bryan's fried rice
-a few bites of sauteed vegetables
-2 ish spoonfuls of soup with I realized was made from beef broth so I gave the rest to bryan
-1 small salad with the orange colored dressing (what kind of dressing is that? ginger? carrott?)
-1 scoop of orange sorbet
-1 mixed drink made of sugary juices and liquors

I think it was more than 800 calories. What do you think?

I also ran 2 miles at the gym, stair stepped for 20 minutes, and elipticized for 20 minutes. That's about an hour of cardio! Whee for meee!

Healthy Tuesday

Jessika had:

-some freshly made guac with tostitoes

Renee has decided to start eating healthier as of today. Because she has failed recently.

So far, Renee has eaten:

1 bowl of special k with soy milk
1 tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, black beans, salsa, and a little bit of cheese (mmm so tasty!)
2 cups of chai tea with a splash of french vanilla coffee creamer
1 everything bagel with low fat garden vegetable cream cheese
1/2 of a french toast flavored bagel with peanut butter, honey, and bananas on it (tasted like dessert!!!)
some baked tostidos with guacamole
a bite of bryan's vegetable stew that he made for the 2nd day in a row
1 cup of grape juice
2 fruit leathers
2 peppermint hershey's kisses

hmm.. not as healthy as I would have liked.

ahh i fail. we went to old chicago at 11pm, and i got ate fooooods.
-3/4 of a spinach, artichoke, tomato, and cheese calzone
-most of a "little big cookie".. basically a hot cookie with ice cream.. about 4 inches in diameter

Groundhog Monday

My daddy says that there were two groundhogs, one in PA and one in Staten Island. They had different verdicts apparently and the one in Staten Island bit Mayor Bloomberg.

On Monday, Jessika had:
-some rice with black beans n spare ribs. (you should have seen the look the lady in front of my gave me when I opened my container on the train)
-a banana
-a cup of coffee
-some broccoli
-an orange
-a small serving of white rice
and I think that's it....

Today Renee had cramps, and therefore, ate a lot.

3/4 of a small red velvet cupcake from starbucks

1 bowl of vegetable stew that bryan made
3/4 of a bar of cadbury's chocolate (milk chocolate toffee filled)

5 or 6 baked tostidos with salsa

1 andes mint at work

Superbowl Sunday

Jessika was distracted and lazy... but now I'm back. And firefox decided to crash after I wrote this entry.... greeeat. Here's I go again:

Rashy Thursday

Last night, Renee discovered a terrible rash all over her body. It itches, and won't go away.

She has eaten:
-1 bowl of nutty nuggets with soy milk

-2 fruit leather
-1/2 piece of bread (half of it was burnt, so i broke it off) with cheese and faux-turkey
-half of bryan's peanut butter and honey sandwich
-2 pieces of sugar free caramel
-lots of baked tostidos with guacamole
-2 clementines
-2 soy breakfast sausage links
-1 cup broccoli, rice, & cheese stuff
-about 20 flipz crackers (half pretzel, half cheese-it) they made my tummy hurt :(
-about 3 pieces of avocado sushi dipped in soy sauce

yikes.. I ate alot. tomorrow I shall do better.

Jessika had a lot too....

Car-less Wednesday

For those of you who don't know, Bryan slid on the ice yesterday, and bent the tire of the car. Thus, today, Renee is car-less.

-a plate of delicious cous cous with squash and zucchini flavored with feta cheese and olive oil (i made it myself! it was sooo tasty!)

-1 big-ish bowl of spaghetti with marinara sauce (turns out the marinara sauce had sugar in it.. but I wasn't going to make a big deal about it, since it was the last ingredient)

-1 cup of chai tea (my kind.. actual tea.. not Jesse's sugarless sugary stuff)
-crumbs from a bag of baked tostidos

Snowy Tuesday

Renee ate:
-1 large homemade fruit smoothie
-1 small salad with mustard vinegrette dressing
-2 halves of a grilled cheese sandwich with faux-turkey (aka 1 whole, but i made one half, then the other half)
-1/2 olive garden breadstick
-sausage mezzaluna pasta from olive garden minus the sausage (basically ravioli with a tomato & alfredo sauce)
-1.5 glasses of 100% strawberry kiwi juice
-1/3 cup of carob chips (no more carob chips left :( )
-1 piece of bread with the sauce leftover from my olive garden meal and 2 pieces of faux-turkey (it was kinda gross.. i ate it anyways)
-1 cup of chai tea at jesse's house. he said it was sugar free, but it definitely tasted sugary.. maybe it had fake sugar in it?

Jessika ate:
-1 orange
-1 bowl of mashed potatoes
-2 steamed dumplings
-1 cup of vanilla caramel coffee with creamer
-3/4 of a roast beef sandwich
-box of chinese soymilk
-2 oat no sugar crackers
-a piece of dried mango
-jessika described her dinner to me.. i can't remember it. some fancy thing from a restaurant called "butter". she had an appetizer, some dinner thing with lamb which was actually only 2 bites, and then dessert.. i can't remember any of it actually. i'll update this when i do. and then she had 2 mixed drinks. for 14$/piece. ouch.

update on dinner:
at Butter jessika had:
-appetizer of twirly pasta with spicy lamb sausage which was two bites.
-medium rare pork belly- (I didn't know you could have pork medium rare since you may get like samonella or something, however I'm still not sick so I guess it was fine.)
-a few bites of Natasha's cheese tart
-this weird floating hot chocolate dessert in a very tall glass. it was hot chocolate with vanilla ice cream and salted caramel.
-the cocktails were actually the best part of the meal.... Elderflower Spritzer (riesling and elderflower nector!) and one with bloodorange juice and champagne.

Today we had very inclement weather, and therefore, nobody came to Olive Garden. Renee made 27$. Whee!

*1 homemade burrito filled with some sort of lentils and a little bit of cheese (bryan's dad made it)

*a taco with the lentils and cheese
*1.5 homemade wanna-be sopapillas with honey (they really didn't taste anything like sopapillas.. more like really thick blocks of bread.. lol)
*maybe 3/4 of a cup of carob chips? kinda a lot.. and they gave me a tummy ache. boooo.
*and 3 lightly salted rice cakes (30 calories each)

Saturday!

Today Jessika had:

Hold up, was Renee really still full at 11pm from her lunch at like 2:22pm? Anyway, Jessika went to taco bell tonight with her parents! And now we are in the midst of preparing for Chinese New Year celebrations. Playing lots of Chinese music, putting flowers in vases and such. yay!

Today Jessika ate:
-bowl of congee
-an orange
-roast beef sandwich on baguette
-a can of diet coke
-a few sips of tomato soup
-2 oat crackers
-glass of peppermint tea
-a few bites of baked ziti
-a cheesey bacon gordita crunch
-half of a nachos bellgrande

Renee is SO full!

(then we ate lunch at Logan's Roadhouse)
*2 large delicious buttery rolls
*half of an appetizer sampler (approx. 1.5 potato skins, 10-ish onion petals, 5-ish fried mushrooms, all with some sort of creamy dip stuff)
*most of a small salad with blue cheese dressing
*most of a bowl of baked potato soup

mmmmm... now I'm stuffed! It's 2:22pm, and I have to work in 2 hours, so chances are this is the last thing I'll eat today

Yay Thursday means it's almost Friday!

Jessika went out to EN Japanese Brasserie with Stephanie tonight. It was interesting, which kinda means authentic but overall twas good!

Here's what I had at EN:

-half an order of freshly made tofu, warm with a soy and bonito sauce. (tofu is made fresh 4 times per night! 6:00, 7:30, 9:00 and 10:30. I was worried cause we had a 6:30 reservation so our tofu might not have been as fresh, then again Steph was like really? how fresh do you want your tofu to be?)
-sashimi appetizer- 2 pieces each of shaKe salmon sakana, KanpaChi young yellowtail and Chu-toro marbled tuna belly. With fresh made wasabi (it's less spicy then the usual powdery kind) and soy sauce (my favorite part of the meal!)
-main course- Berkshire pork belly simmered with 2 bites of chinese broccoli and a chunk of turnip.
-side dishes- sticky rice with chesnut (really weird cause it was sweet) and miso soup (nothing special, too salty and concentrated in my opinion)
-dessert- scoop of plum ice cream. the most interesting but I didn't really like it. it was sweet at first, then it was salty and kind of tasted like the preserved plums. Finally, it was really creamy.

and for earlier in the day, I had:
-a mini bagel with margarine
-an orange
-2 scones with cream and strawberry jam
-a pot of vanilla mint tea (mmm!)
-3 cups of mint tea


Mmm.. Renee is jealous of Jessika's dinner. Today, Renee ate:

-1 large homemade smoothie with pears, blackberries, bananas, and strawberries!
-4 white cheddar rice cakes
-1 toasted peanut butter, honey, and banana sandwich on wheat bread
-1 wildberry fruit leather
-2 glasses of orange juice
-the leftover baked mac & cheese (only a few bites worth)
-2 grilled cheese sandwiches (on wheat bread, 3 slices of cheese, and 1 slice of fake turkey)
-1 glass of moscato wine (and counting...:) )

Hello! Jessika is exhausted from the 2.5 hours of kick boxing, 'asset management' aka scuplting and abs class that she went tonight. Here's what she ate:

-6oz of corn chowder soup with 2 saltine crackers
-cup of mandarin orange tea
-box of chinese soy milk
-a banana
-a few pieces of roast pork in chinese bbq sauce(char siu!)
-4-5 pieces of roast pork, just roasted
-3 bowls of chinese fungi soup with the tofu strips that we put in congee
-small bowl of rice
-serving of shanghainese veggies boiled
-one mentos (is it just a mento then?)

Today Renee has eaten:

*1 110 calorie blueberry bagel with a light layer of non-fat cream cheese
*1 bowl of grape nuts with soy milk (turns out special k has sugar! I just never thought to check it. oops)
*1 glass of orange juice
*1 bowl of homemade (i made it!) baked macaroni and cheese with tomatoes, artichokes, peppers, and broccoli
*4 35 calorie white cheddar rice cakes
*1 strawberry fruit leather
*1/2 cup of gross fat free cottage cheese. some things just aren't good fat free
*1 bite of bryan's fat free cottage cheese with black pepper.. even grosser

That's all so far! I'm sure I'll eat more. I always do.

1 case of vomiting at 5am

Thursday, January 15th!

Jessika never sent the food blog yesterday, and Renee didn't get home until 4am, so the update is happening on Friday!!

Yesterday, Renee ate:

1 bowl of special k with soy milk
1 glass of oj
20 pretzels
2 handfuls of carob chips
1/2 cup of refried beans with baked tostidos
2 pieces of wheat bread with butter and honey
1 aspen sushi roll (8 pieces)
5 or 6 pieces of vegetable tempura
3 glasses of wine
half of a medium sized bag of mcdonalds fries
2 pringles

Jessika ate:
2 pieces of popeyes fried chicken
a serving of mashed potatoes with gravy
a few french fries with ketchup
1.5 biscuits
half of an orange
a clementine
half of a mini chocolate pecan cookie
a tiny bag of sunchips
half of a chicken salad sandwich
half of a hazelnut coffee
some beans and rice
and a rotisserie chicken thigh

Today Jessika ate:

1 bowl of whole wheat pasta with peas
half of a large french vanilla coffee with milk
a starbucks tall tazo refresh tea
half of a chicken salad sandwich on wheat with lettuce and tomatoes
a serving of yellow rice with beans
1/4 rotisserie chicken
a few fried green plantains

Today Renee ate:

approx. 20 mini cheddar cheese rice cakes
an orange/strawberry homemade smoothie
1/2 bowl of oatmeal with maple syrup and strawberry slices
1 apple muffin (from the health food store- no sugar! made with applesauce and maple syrup!)
1 cube of cheese
2 crackers
1/2 of a serving of naratuang (spelling?) vegetables from an indian restaurant with 1 piece of naan bread- (it's a rice dish topped with a creamy vegetable curry sauce)
approx. 20 wheat pretzels
2 handfuls of carob chips
and a small glass of 100% strawberry kiwi juice

Renee is watching The Biggest Loser

Jessika thinks Renee's fake sugar detox is funny.

Today she had:

-half of a strawberry banana yogurt
-2 sips of coffee
-a onion mini bagel with the tiniest bit of veggie cream cheese
(yeah, we kinda ran out today)
-starbucks tall caramel macchiato
-turkey and provolone on a roll with lettuce, tomato and a tsp of mayo
(split into two meals!)
-1.5 mini bags of sunchips
-a banana
-4-5 tablespoons of guac
-1/4 bowl of congee
-a handful of steamed string beans
-1 clementine

It took me 2 hours to get home today cause I have training
for work in the upper east side. I'm going to be staying in
the city for the rest of the week, so perhaps I will text you my food diary
and you (Renee) can post? :-D


Renee ate:
*1 bowl of special k with soy milk
*1 homemade strawberry banana smoothie
*1/2 peanut butter & honey sandwich on wheat bread
*1 tofu dog
*1/2 meatless turkey and miracle whip (which has
sugar :-/) sandwich on wheat bread
*1 glass of oj
*approx. 15 honey wheat pretzels
*1 bowl of vegetarian chili

So I think I might ignore the fact that miracle whip has sugar?
And maybe I should just ignore the peach schnopps from last night..
or else this might happen every other day!

It's not like I'm eating chocolateeee

-starbucks grande non-fat white mocha (not whipped)
-half of a salami and provolone sandwich on honey walnut bread
-a banana
-chrysanthemum tea box
-half of a bottle of diet coke with ice
-a few tortilla chip pieces, a few pita chips and finally a few sunchips with a half a bowl of guacamole
-serving of stir-fryed cabbage
-pasta with peas
-5 oz of grilled salmon

Today, Renee ate:

*1 and 1/2 bowls of cereal with soy milk (1 bowl of special k, 1/2 bowl of pumkin flax granola- made with molasses, not sugar!)
*1 olive garden breadstick
*1/2 bowl of butternut squash soup
*1 glass of 100% strawberry kiwi juice
*1 and 1/2 tofu dogs
*handfull of baked tostidos
*3-4 bites of Bryan's PBJ

*edit*
we went over to John Ash's house, and over there, I ate..
*approximately 20 honey wheat pretzel sticks
*approximately 20 mini rice cakes, sour cream and onion flavor
*1/2 of a glass of orange juice with peach schnopps.. which I found out later had SUGAR in it!!! :(

I have to restart my sugar diet.  booo hoooo..

I totes forgot to post yesterday.

Jessika had:
-somewhere between 1/3 and a 1/2 of a cranberry, orange buttermilk scone
-a mocha chino (without added sugar)
-bowl of whole wheat pasta with shrimp in a olive oil and onion sauce
-a few tortilla chips and a few pita chips with homemade guacamole
-1/3 a bowl of rice
-serving of chinese veggies
-a grilled drumstick
-perhaps I had a banana, I can't seem to remember.

Finally! I can edit all posts! Wheee!

For breakfast, Renee ate:
*1 bowl of special k with soy milk
*1 piece of wheat toast with peanut butter, honey, and banana slices

Work, 10:30-5

Dinner:
*1 roasted vegetable sandwich thing made with filo dough or something
*1 large homemade fruit smoothie
*1 small glass of 100% strawberry kiwi juice
*12 pringles

NO SUGAR! YAY!

Anyways, so far today, Renee has had:
*1 krispy kreme donut (from the early morning work meeting)
*1/2 pint of strawberry vanilla ice cream
*2 marshmallow vanilla peeps
*5 pringles
*half of a pita bread with homemade hummus
*2 bites of tiramisu cake

yikes.. that's not healthy.

I'm going on a sugar detox soon, Ive decided

off to the gym!

and after the gym...

*1 small bowl of potato soup with two dinner rolls
*3 more valentines peeps
*3 more bites of tiramisu cake
*the rest of the ice cream pint (approx. 1/4 of it)

aaand.. 3 week sugar detox starting tomorrow. Bryan doesn't think I'll make it.

*2 pieces of garlic bread
*1/2 fruit tart
*1/2 piece of tiramisu

....and i wonder why i haven't lost any weight...

good news! jessika is 135 this morning (Saturday). woohoo For Friday I had:

*two pieces of chocolate
*lots of baked tostidos with homemade guacamole
*starbucks caramel frappucino
*1 breadstick from olive garden
*2 andes mints from olive garden
*1 small piece of birthday cake leftover from a customer at olive garden (that sounds gross, but it really isn't. it was a big sheet cake with maybe 1/4 of it leftover, so lots of us ate some if it)

Today Jessika had a long and hard day at work, but she came home.... went grocery shopping, did some yoga and made yummy pasta! (one of giada's receipes!)

Hi everyone! Tonight Jessikuh is sick and tired, so I will be posting instead! Except I don't know what she ate... so I will be half-posting!

*A large homemade fruit smoothie consisting of strawberries, peaches, juice, and non-fat plain yogurt
*1/2 of an avocado/green pepper/cream cheese/miracle whip sandwich on wheat bread
*7 pieces of chocolate...oops...
*2 pocky sticks
*20 ish delicious onion blossom flavored pringles chips (I went to wal*mart tonight and was sooo tempted by the honey mustard pringles..but I held back!)
*1 and 1/2 glasses of 100% cranberry pomagranite juice
*a small plate of brocolli and vermicelli noodles with hoisin sauce

miso hungry.

weight this morning, 125 on my scale, 128 on the wii fit scale.. stupid wii fit.

Jessika is thinking really hard about what she ate yesterday, cause it seemed like it was so long ago.
