Yay Thursday means it's almost Friday!

Jessika went out to EN Japanese Brasserie with Stephanie tonight. It was interesting, which kinda means authentic but overall twas good!

Here's what I had at EN:

-half an order of freshly made tofu, warm with a soy and bonito sauce. (tofu is made fresh 4 times per night! 6:00, 7:30, 9:00 and 10:30. I was worried cause we had a 6:30 reservation so our tofu might not have been as fresh, then again Steph was like really? how fresh do you want your tofu to be?)
-sashimi appetizer- 2 pieces each of shaKe salmon sakana, KanpaChi young yellowtail and Chu-toro marbled tuna belly. With fresh made wasabi (it's less spicy then the usual powdery kind) and soy sauce (my favorite part of the meal!)
-main course- Berkshire pork belly simmered with 2 bites of chinese broccoli and a chunk of turnip.
-side dishes- sticky rice with chesnut (really weird cause it was sweet) and miso soup (nothing special, too salty and concentrated in my opinion)
-dessert- scoop of plum ice cream. the most interesting but I didn't really like it. it was sweet at first, then it was salty and kind of tasted like the preserved plums. Finally, it was really creamy.

and for earlier in the day, I had:
-a mini bagel with margarine
-an orange
-2 scones with cream and strawberry jam
-a pot of vanilla mint tea (mmm!)
-3 cups of mint tea


Mmm.. Renee is jealous of Jessika's dinner. Today, Renee ate:

-1 large homemade smoothie with pears, blackberries, bananas, and strawberries!
-4 white cheddar rice cakes
-1 toasted peanut butter, honey, and banana sandwich on wheat bread
-1 wildberry fruit leather
-2 glasses of orange juice
-the leftover baked mac & cheese (only a few bites worth)
-2 grilled cheese sandwiches (on wheat bread, 3 slices of cheese, and 1 slice of fake turkey)
-1 glass of moscato wine (and counting...:) )
