a few handfuls of carob chips
2 pieces of bread with butter and honey
1/2 grapefwuit
approx. 8 pretzel/cheese crackers
1 tangerine
1 banana
2 fruit leathers
3 bites of olive garden's roasted potatoes
1 bite of an olive garden roasted red pepper
2 olive garden french fries
1 olive garden breadstick
1 slice of olive garden roasted zucchini

On Friday, Renee ate:

1 homemade smoothie
1/2 peanut butter and honey sandwich
1/2 cup carob chips
5 twist crackers (half pretzel, half cheesey)
approximately 12-15 (i didn't keep track) pieces of homemade sushi (filled with avocado, cucumber, carrots, and a little bit of cream cheese)
2 glasses of grape juice with apple cider vinegar...blegh!

I think that's all? It doesn't seem like that much...

Jessika ate:

Rice with black beans
jamba jucie with original pink star (whatever that means?)
serving of mashed potatoes
9 ounce skirt steak
arugula salad with cherry tomatoes and parmesan cheese
a few bites of mango and raspberry sorbet

Rashy Thursday

Last night, Renee discovered a terrible rash all over her body. It itches, and won't go away.

She has eaten:
-1 bowl of nutty nuggets with soy milk
-2 pieces of wheat bread with butter and honey
-2 fruit leather
-1/2 piece of bread (half of it was burnt, so i broke it off) with cheese and faux-turkey
-half of bryan's peanut butter and honey sandwich
-2 pieces of sugar free caramel
-lots of baked tostidos with guacamole
-2 clementines
-2 soy breakfast sausage links
-1 cup broccoli, rice, & cheese stuff
-about 20 flipz crackers (half pretzel, half cheese-it) they made my tummy hurt :(
-about 3 pieces of avocado sushi dipped in soy sauce

yikes.. I ate alot. tomorrow I shall do better.

Jessika had a lot too....

-a few steamed dumplings and fried dumplings for breakfast - made fresh by grandma
-a bag of french onion sunchips
-half of a salami and provolone sandwich on ciabatta
-cup of joe

-Dinner at Megu with Thuan!
-chef's appetizer (free) two pieces of a salmon and avocado roll
-3 pieces of a the triple tuna roll... the 3 types of tuna gave it more flava flav.
-sashimi salad- little pieces of lettuce in rice paper wrap with tiny pieces of sushi on top with soy sauce. mmm so good.
-kobe beef with 'platinum rice' aka jasmin rice
-vanilla ice cream with red bean and green tea cakes
-and a suntory sunrise

Car-less Wednesday

For those of you who don't know, Bryan slid on the ice yesterday, and bent the tire of the car. Thus, today, Renee is car-less.

Renee ate:
-1 homemade smoothie
-1 piece of bread with butter and honey
-a plate of delicious cous cous with squash and zucchini flavored with feta cheese and olive oil (i made it myself! it was sooo tasty!)
-2 fruit leathers
-1 bowl of nutty nuggets with soy milk
-another piece of bread with butter and honey
-1 clementine
-1 big-ish bowl of spaghetti with marinara sauce (turns out the marinara sauce had sugar in it.. but I wasn't going to make a big deal about it, since it was the last ingredient)
-2 pieces of garlic bread
-1 cup of chai tea (my kind.. actual tea.. not Jesse's sugarless sugary stuff)
-crumbs from a bag of baked tostidos
-2 more fruit leathers


Jessika ate:
-Jamba 16oz pinkstar
-bowl of new england clam chowder
-3/4 of a roll
-cup of coffee
-an orange and a half
-2 bowls of yellow rice with black beans
-an apple fruit leather
-3 steamed dumplings

Snowy Tuesday

Renee ate:
-1 large homemade fruit smoothie
-1 small salad with mustard vinegrette dressing
-2 halves of a grilled cheese sandwich with faux-turkey (aka 1 whole, but i made one half, then the other half)
-1/2 olive garden breadstick
-sausage mezzaluna pasta from olive garden minus the sausage (basically ravioli with a tomato & alfredo sauce)
-1.5 glasses of 100% strawberry kiwi juice
-1/3 cup of carob chips (no more carob chips left :( )
-1 piece of bread with the sauce leftover from my olive garden meal and 2 pieces of faux-turkey (it was kinda gross.. i ate it anyways)
-1 cup of chai tea at jesse's house. he said it was sugar free, but it definitely tasted sugary.. maybe it had fake sugar in it?

Jessika ate:
-1 orange
-1 bowl of mashed potatoes
-2 steamed dumplings
-1 cup of vanilla caramel coffee with creamer
-3/4 of a roast beef sandwich
-box of chinese soymilk
-2 oat no sugar crackers
-a piece of dried mango
-jessika described her dinner to me.. i can't remember it. some fancy thing from a restaurant called "butter". she had an appetizer, some dinner thing with lamb which was actually only 2 bites, and then dessert.. i can't remember any of it actually. i'll update this when i do. and then she had 2 mixed drinks. for 14$/piece. ouch.

update on dinner:
at Butter jessika had:
-appetizer of twirly pasta with spicy lamb sausage which was two bites.
-medium rare pork belly- (I didn't know you could have pork medium rare since you may get like samonella or something, however I'm still not sick so I guess it was fine.)
-a few bites of Natasha's cheese tart
-this weird floating hot chocolate dessert in a very tall glass. it was hot chocolate with vanilla ice cream and salted caramel.
-the cocktails were actually the best part of the meal.... Elderflower Spritzer (riesling and elderflower nector!) and one with bloodorange juice and champagne.

Gung Hey Fat Choy!

happy noooo year!

Today we had very inclement weather, and therefore, nobody came to Olive Garden. Renee made 27$. Whee!

But she ate a lot more:

1.5 pieces of whole wheat bread with butter and honey
1 bowl of grape nuts (actually, they're off brand grape nuts called nutty nuggets) with soy milk
1 small salad with bryan's mustard dressing
4 rice cakes (30 calories)
1 piece of fruit leather
TOO MANY carob chips. probably 1 cups worth. if not more. bad job me.
4-ish rice cakes (again)
a few chunks of feta cheese
1/2 glass of juice
3 baked tostidos
1 glass of sparkling wine and vodka mixture

Jessika ate:
-cup of peppermint tea
-chicken pesto avocado sandwich on wheat
-bite of orange pound cake
-orange
-dark chocolate pecan cookie
-a few shrimp with cocktail sauce
-4 ritz crackers with crab dip
-4 slices of roast beef
-2 servings of mashed potato
-some chinese broccoli
-can't remember breakfast

It's a cold sunday!

Jessika cooked all day and thus ate all day. She's not even going to try to estimate how much of each food item she had....

-Tortilla chips with guacamole
-glass of fresh orange juice
-some orange pound cake
-cookies- dark chocolate pecan with caramels melted in the center
-white rice
-grilled chicken breast
-butternut squash soup
-shanghainese veggies

Today, Renee worked.. again... 4th shift in a row.. she's tired.

And she ate:
*2 fried eggs with 2 pieces of toast
*1 grapefruit
*1 homemade burrito filled with some sort of lentils and a little bit of cheese (bryan's dad made it)
*a few bites of refried beans with cheese
*a taco with the lentils and cheese
*1.5 homemade wanna-be sopapillas with honey (they really didn't taste anything like sopapillas.. more like really thick blocks of bread.. lol)
*maybe 3/4 of a cup of carob chips? kinda a lot.. and they gave me a tummy ache. boooo.
*and 3 lightly salted rice cakes (30 calories each)

Saturday!

Today Jessika had:

-glass of orange juice
-2 fried chicken thighs from popeyes
-small side of mash potatoes with gravy
-3/4 of a biscuit
-16 oz of diet coke
-a few pieces of soy sauce chicken
-3 pieces of roast pork
-3 oz of rice
-serving of chinese noodles with chicken, mushrooms and veggies
-serving of snow pea flowers in garlic
-a few small clams
-an orange

Renee ate:
-1 small can of sparkling juice
-1 110 calorie blueberry bagel
-1/2 grapefruit
-2 pieces of bread with butter and honey
-3 fruit leathers
-1 piece of toast with cheese and fake turkey
-3 rice cakes
-1 cheesy gordita crunch with beans instead of beef
-1 olive garden breadstick
-4 tortoloni from an olive garden meal
-a handful of olive garden french fries
-1 glass of Rosé wine from Oenos.
yikes i ate too much.

Fri-dizzle!

Hold up, was Renee really still full at 11pm from her lunch at like 2:22pm? Anyway, Jessika went to taco bell tonight with her parents! And now we are in the midst of preparing for Chinese New Year celebrations. Playing lots of Chinese music, putting flowers in vases and such. yay!

Today Jessika ate:
-bowl of congee
-an orange
-roast beef sandwich on baguette
-a can of diet coke
-a few sips of tomato soup
-2 oat crackers
-glass of peppermint tea
-a few bites of baked ziti
-a cheesey bacon gordita crunch
-half of a nachos bellgrande
-a few sips of diet pepsi



Renee is SO full!
She ate:
*a homemade smoothie for breakfast!
*a 110 calorie blueberry bagel
(then we ate lunch at Logan's Roadhouse)
*2 large delicious buttery rolls
*half of an appetizer sampler (approx. 1.5 potato skins, 10-ish onion petals, 5-ish fried mushrooms, all with some sort of creamy dip stuff)
*most of a small salad with blue cheese dressing
*most of a bowl of baked potato soup

mmmmm... now I'm stuffed! It's 2:22pm, and I have to work in 2 hours, so chances are this is the last thing I'll eat today

Yay Thursday means it's almost Friday!

Jessika went out to EN Japanese Brasserie with Stephanie tonight. It was interesting, which kinda means authentic but overall twas good!

Here's what I had at EN:

-half an order of freshly made tofu, warm with a soy and bonito sauce. (tofu is made fresh 4 times per night! 6:00, 7:30, 9:00 and 10:30. I was worried cause we had a 6:30 reservation so our tofu might not have been as fresh, then again Steph was like really? how fresh do you want your tofu to be?)
-sashimi appetizer- 2 pieces each of shaKe salmon sakana, KanpaChi young yellowtail and Chu-toro marbled tuna belly. With fresh made wasabi (it's less spicy then the usual powdery kind) and soy sauce (my favorite part of the meal!)
-main course- Berkshire pork belly simmered with 2 bites of chinese broccoli and a chunk of turnip.
-side dishes- sticky rice with chesnut (really weird cause it was sweet) and miso soup (nothing special, too salty and concentrated in my opinion)
-dessert- scoop of plum ice cream. the most interesting but I didn't really like it. it was sweet at first, then it was salty and kind of tasted like the preserved plums. Finally, it was really creamy.

and for earlier in the day, I had:
-a mini bagel with margarine
-an orange
-2 scones with cream and strawberry jam
-a pot of vanilla mint tea (mmm!)
-3 cups of mint tea


Mmm.. Renee is jealous of Jessika's dinner. Today, Renee ate:

-1 large homemade smoothie with pears, blackberries, bananas, and strawberries!
-4 white cheddar rice cakes
-1 toasted peanut butter, honey, and banana sandwich on wheat bread
-1 wildberry fruit leather
-2 glasses of orange juice
-the leftover baked mac & cheese (only a few bites worth)
-2 grilled cheese sandwiches (on wheat bread, 3 slices of cheese, and 1 slice of fake turkey)
-1 glass of moscato wine (and counting...:) )

Hello! Jessika is exhausted from the 2.5 hours of kick boxing, 'asset management' aka scuplting and abs class that she went tonight. Here's what she ate:

-mini bagel with bit o cream cheese
-1 orange
-6oz of corn chowder soup with 2 saltine crackers
-cup of mandarin orange tea
-box of chinese soy milk
-a banana
-a few pieces of roast pork in chinese bbq sauce(char siu!)
-4-5 pieces of roast pork, just roasted
-3 bowls of chinese fungi soup with the tofu strips that we put in congee
-small bowl of rice
-serving of shanghainese veggies boiled
-one mentos (is it just a mento then?)

Hi!

Today Renee has eaten:

*1 110 calorie blueberry bagel with a light layer of non-fat cream cheese
*1 bowl of grape nuts with soy milk (turns out special k has sugar! I just never thought to check it. oops)
*1 glass of orange juice
*1 bowl of homemade (i made it!) baked macaroni and cheese with tomatoes, artichokes, peppers, and broccoli
*4 35 calorie white cheddar rice cakes
*1 strawberry fruit leather
*1/2 cup of gross fat free cottage cheese. some things just aren't good fat free
*1 bite of bryan's fat free cottage cheese with black pepper.. even grosser

That's all so far! I'm sure I'll eat more. I always do.

I ate more!

Renee is full. She ate:

1 homemade blackberry/banana/strawberry smoothie

1 blueberry bagel (small one- only 110 calories!)
1 and 1/2 tofu dogs
1/2 of a ravioli from tj's food
1 bowl of salad with delicious mustard vinegarette dressing that bryan made!

1 banananana
approx. 5 baked tostidos
4 oz. of 100% sparkling orange tangerine drink

and it looks like i posted by accident after jessika did yesterday. oooopsie!

So Renee went with Bryan to play raquetball for like an hour, and afterwards was famished! So at like, 11pm, (aka just a few minutes ago) she had 3 white cheddar rice cakes (35 calories each), and another 110 calorie blueberry bagel. I fail!

-half of a spicy tuna roll with wasabi and soy sauce
-hibatchi at benihana, including:
-zucchini hibatchi-fryed with onions
-appetizer of 6 pieces of shrimp hibatchi-fryed as well
-hibatchi steak with a bowl of white rice
-mushrooms, hibatchi fry-ed as well
they spanish hibatchi chef used so much butter, it was kinda not good to see that happening.
-bowl of white rice
-2 servings of ribs in black bean sauce
-lots of broccoli

-a few dried mangoes
-slice of apple pie

wow... i ate more than i thought today.

-eggplant parm sans bread crumbs but with salami and provolone
-side of leftover pasta with eggplant parm sauce
-she will soon be having apple pie a la mode mmm. (maybe I can post a picture!)

Added new year's resolution- perfecting pie crust. yeah, making pie crust from scratch is kinda tricky and a pain.... but practice makes perfect right?


Renee has eaten:
-homemade smoothie made with fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries, juice, and plain yogurt
-1/2 of a grapefruit
-approx. 15 pretzel sticks
-small portion of wild rice with vegetables
-1 tofu dog
-1/2 olive garden breadstick
-1 big portion of some sort of vegetable and hashbrown casserole topped with melted cheese

-8 ounces of 100% orange & tangerine sparkling beverage

Renee has to go to work in an hour! She's trying to get all of her eating in before work, so that she doesn't gorge when she comes home at 11pm.

3/4 of a "super protein" odwalla drink
2 samples of apple smoked cheddar cheese from the grocery store
1 sample of a cracker with cheese dip
1 apple slice
a small greek salad (with red peppers, olives, cucumbers, and feta cheese)
2 pieces of homemade pizza (with tomato sauce, artichokes, olives, mushrooms, onions, and feta cheese)
2 handfuls of carob chips
1 small glass of organic milk with honey
1 tofu dog
1/2 of a piece of ravioli from TJ's olive garden food
1 grapefruit
1 sip of juice

Renee caught the oven on fire today. That was fun.

1/2 bowl of oatmeal with maple syrup and strawberry slices
1 apple muffin (from the health food store- no sugar! made with applesauce and maple syrup!)
1 cube of cheese
2 crackers
1/2 of a serving of naratuang (spelling?) vegetables from an indian restaurant with 1 piece of naan bread- (it's a rice dish topped with a creamy vegetable curry sauce)
approx. 20 wheat pretzels
2 handfuls of carob chips
and a small glass of 100% strawberry kiwi juice

Renee is watching The Biggest Loser

Jessika thinks Renee's fake sugar detox is funny.

Today she had:

-half of a strawberry banana yogurt
-2 sips of coffee
-a onion mini bagel with the tiniest bit of veggie cream cheese
(yeah, we kinda ran out today)
-starbucks tall caramel macchiato
-turkey and provolone on a roll with lettuce, tomato and a tsp of mayo
(split into two meals!)
-1.5 mini bags of sunchips
-a banana
-4-5 tablespoons of guac
-1/4 bowl of congee
-a handful of steamed string beans
-1 clementine

It took me 2 hours to get home today cause I have training
for work in the upper east side. I'm going to be staying in
the city for the rest of the week, so perhaps I will text you my food diary
and you (Renee) can post? :-D


Renee ate:
*1 bowl of special k with soy milk

*1/2 peanut butter & honey sandwich on wheat bread

*1/2 meatless turkey and miracle whip (which has
sugar :-/) sandwich on wheat bread

So I think I might ignore the fact that miracle whip has sugar?
And maybe I should just ignore the peach schnopps from last night..
or else this might happen every other day!

*1 and 1/2 bowls of cereal with soy milk (1 bowl of special k, 1/2 bowl of pumkin flax granola- made with molasses, not sugar!)

*1/2 bowl of butternut squash soup
*1 glass of 100% strawberry kiwi juice
*1 and 1/2 tofu dogs
*handfull of baked tostidos
*3-4 bites of Bryan's PBJ

we went over to John Ash's house, and over there, I ate..

*1 small glass of 100% strawberry kiwi juice

Anyways, so far today, Renee has had:
*1 krispy kreme donut (from the early morning work meeting)

*half of a pita bread with homemade hummus
*2 bites of tiramisu cake

yikes.. that's not healthy.

I'm going on a sugar detox soon, Ive decided

off to the gym!

and after the gym...

*1 small bowl of potato soup with two dinner rolls
*3 more valentines peeps
*3 more bites of tiramisu cake
*the rest of the ice cream pint (approx. 1/4 of it)

aaand.. 3 week sugar detox starting tomorrow. Bryan doesn't think I'll make it.

-a resolution cocktail (something with quince and fruit but tasted like lychee)

-2 bites of a disgusting broken up almond tort... it was like eating a stale cookie.

Frid-atetoomuch... January 9th.

Hi all!

Today, Renee ate:
*1/2 homemade fruit smoothie
*1 bowl of special k with soy milk
*1/2 glass of dr. pepper
*1/2 glass of pink lemonade
*15-ish pringles
*3 pieces of chocolate
*1 small glass of juice
*4 vanilla valentines peeps
*a few bites of strawberry vanilla ice cream
*a piece of vegetable lasagna
*2 pieces of garlic bread
*1/2 fruit tart
*1/2 piece of tiramisu

....and i wonder why i haven't lost any weight...

lol how did you already find valentine's peeps?

good news! jessika is 135 this morning (Saturday). woohoo For Friday I had:

-bowl of leftover pasta from last night!
-1 cup of split pea soup
-a banana
-1 spicy tuna roll minus one piece
-1 rainbow roll
-1 spanish mackeral sushi
-1 white tuna sushi
-glass of white wine
-a malibu baybreeze

Anyways, on Thursday, January 8th, Renee ate:

*a homemade smoothie made of strawberries, peaches, non-fat yoghurt, and juice
*1/2 grapefruit
*two pieces of chocolate
*lots of baked tostidos with homemade guacamole
*starbucks caramel frappucino
*1 breadstick from olive garden
*2 andes mints from olive garden
*1 small piece of birthday cake leftover from a customer at olive garden (that sounds gross, but it really isn't. it was a big sheet cake with maybe 1/4 of it leftover, so lots of us ate some if it)

Thursday, Jan 8th

Today Jessika had a long and hard day at work, but she came home.... went grocery shopping, did some yoga and made yummy pasta! (one of giada's receipes!)

-beef and bean burrito
-cup of new england clam chowder
-slice of whole wheat bread
-an apple
-a pecan chocolate chip cookie
-a banana
-4 ritz crackers with blue crab dip

Hi everyone! Tonight Jessikuh is sick and tired, so I will be posting instead! Except I don't know what she ate... so I will be half-posting!

Wheee I have the power!!

So today, Renee ate..

*A large homemade fruit smoothie consisting of strawberries, peaches, juice, and non-fat plain yogurt
*1/2 of an avocado/green pepper/cream cheese/miracle whip sandwich on wheat bread
*7 pieces of chocolate...oops...
*2 pocky sticks
*20 ish delicious onion blossom flavored pringles chips (I went to wal*mart tonight and was sooo tempted by the honey mustard pringles..but I held back!)
*1 and 1/2 glasses of 100% cranberry pomagranite juice
*a small plate of brocolli and vermicelli noodles with hoisin sauce

miso hungry.

weight this morning, 125 on my scale, 128 on the wii fit scale.. stupid wii fit.

Jessika is thinking really hard about what she ate yesterday, cause it seemed like it was so long ago.

-half of a pack of ramen with leftover steak and bacon. and a few pieces of lettuce

-1/2 cup of coffee with vanilla caramel creamer
-half a salami and provolone sandwich on honey walnut bread with mayo and lettuce
-1 juice box of chrysanthemum tea
-1 banana
-1 cup of lentil soup with 2 bites of whole wheat bread
-1 chocolate chip pecan cookie
-1 4 oz pic of grilled pork chop
-a serving-ish of rice
-half a bowl of chinese soup
-a serving of steamed lettuce
-a serving of shanghainese vegetable stir fryed with garlic and soy sauce
-half a grapefruit
-3 pita chips
-a few bites of manchego cheese
-a chicken kidney with peanuts and something that's kinda like bamboo shoots in wine soup
(okay I swear it wasn't as much as it seems)
